Please help save a clam

Folks, there's a thread in the new to the hobby forum where a fellow is convinced by his LFS that it's OK to keep his 2 inch Maxima under NO tubes and with no feeding. I've tried my best...will you please help to convince this fellow that his clam needs to go to a tank that won't kill it!

Looks like the fellow is confused enough that he's giving the clam back. I hope it goes to a tank with MH.
