Looking at Potters angel, flame and coral beauty. Will these nip at my SPS corals?

Sometimes. So far I have been lucky. I have a coral beauty and a bi-color. Both came from another reefer who had never seen them pick at corals. I have a fuge that also helps keep the pod population high. The dwarfs are less likely, but caution is still advised.

I had a Coral Beauty that lasted about 2 days in my tank......not only did he pick on corals, he also bullied everyone into hiding spots. He went straight back to the LFS.......: )

I had a flame that did, so I got rid of him. Now I have a cherub, he hasn't yet.............

Flip a coin.

You never really know if one will eat polyps or not just has everyone else has mentioned.

keep them well fed. i think that will help keep them away from your coral buffet.

I have a coral beauty that will nip occassionally. Especially acans. He is a bully to any new fish as well. I'd suggest to avoid them, unless you can easily catch them out after adding them. The headache of trying to catch them out is not worth it.

I've had good success with Coral Beauties and Flames.

My Cherub (pygmy) only picks at LR. Over 14 months, no problems. He does however, pick at other fish a bit..

Tried Coral Beauty, Bi-Color, and Flame. Best citizen that I never saw nip was the Coral Beauty. Worst of them all was the Bi-Color, not only did he pick at everything, he was also a bully.:mad2: Flame would every once in awhile pick on my LPS. They all had to go though.

I really thought about trying a Potters..darn those are beautiful....but don't want to face having to take out all the LR to catch it if it's a nipper lol.

I had a Fox Face and currently have a Coral Beauty and a sml Rock Beauty, none of them pic or picked at any of my corals, Zoas, softies or LPS. I feed every other day and the days that I dont feed, they get a Seaweed sheet. They are well fed, so I am of the opinion well fed fish are not as willing to pick if he/she isnt already a picker. The first few days can tell you alot, but keep em WELL FED!!!!!
