I won't be able to provide a pic of these tiny creatures as they move way too fast. They were only visible for about 3 seconds.
I picked up a small piece of LR and saw 3 or 4 of these creatures scurry around and then dart off into near by crevices.

They're a grayish color like the LR and they have no markings or antennas that I could see. They're round/oval shaped, basically flat and about 1/4" in diameter.

I don't think they're harmful but would like to know what they are. Any ideas?

Thanks.

They could be small pods, or even Mysis shrimp.

Sound like pods to me a very good thing!

If they don't have any antennas, flat, and small....My guess would be flat worms which are bad.

See if you can find it here :) (http://www.melevsreef.com/id/pods.html)

Thank you all for your advice and the link, which was informative.
I'm still unsure exactly which of the many types of Isopods I have. I don't think they're the parasite type because I don't see any attached to my fish. They're always in the same area of the same rock. When I lift up the small coral they're under, they vanish like cockroaches.
Do you think I should remove the rock they seem to be hiding in and soak it in R/O?

I wouldn't. I doubt they are harming anything other than some detritus and maybe algae!
