I don't know about other peoples experiences, but I've found it can be a PITA. I tried to increase the flow slighly and it shrunk up for days until I decreased the flow again. I tried to move it up 3" closer to the light and it shrunk right up for few days, until I moved it back, etc... Otherwise nice coral...

I've had it for a week now and it is coloring up nicely. I have it in a medium flow medium light section of my tank and it has been fully expanded since day one. I've also fed it mysis soaked in Selcon a couple of times and it eats with no problems.

Love my frogspawn, not as much as my clowns. Very easy coral so long as you dont give it tooooooo much flow. Started out with 3 heads and at last count I had at least 15.

They're very easy to take care of if you place them in the right area. Not too much light, low, and weak flow.

how does it do under pcs?

I run mh's now but I used to have some under pc's. Hammers, frogspawn, and torch's do quite well under pc's. For a PC lit tank, they should be placed mid to high in the tank.

Depends on the PC's. I moved mine up a few inches and they refused to open. I had to move them lower again to get the to expand. I have 4x65W PC's on a 20G. PC's may not be efficient, but if you have enough of them, you can still produce a significant amount of light. I am switching to a 150W MH today, I'll have to see how they do...

Here is my frogspawn, middle/high in tank with pc lighting. It does ok? Doesn't grow too fast.

Son has a few in his nano that are growing like crazy. He is running 72 watts in his with mild flow. Have 2 in our 90 under MH that are growing real good too. Started with a head on one and few on the other and have fragged them a few times now. They are pretty easy growers and have another wall frogspawn that we got for a deal since it was half dead and looking bad. Could never tell now as its recovered and sprouting new growth all the time and is a nice yellow color.

Here was his when he first got it and has grown and been fragged much since then.
