how much salt do you add to 5gallon buckets when you do water changes?i`m taking out 15gallons,then putting the same back in.i`m using ro water..

Hey Jamie,
glad to hear that you are using RO water - your tank will like it!
I start out with using 1/2 cup of salt per gallon; though that is obviously a rough estimate and should be double checked for actual salinity content. Do you have a hydrometer? If not, you can borrow mine, I have two kinds, though I need them weekly.
I am sure you have checked your tank water first to see what salinity exists currently - no matter what the salinity should be, I would not make any necessary adjustments by more than 1 fraction point at a time.
Also, if I may suggest, I would make larger changes in the beginning. Lastly, I know you know this, but a 5g bucket is 5g all the way to the top. So, if you are down a couple of inches, the content may only be 3.5g
