Fujifilm Finepix S700 or S8000fd ??

I'm looking at these 2 cameras, and am wondering if the S8000fd is worth the extra $$$$ over the S700. Anyone familiar with these? Of course, I am wanting to buy a nice camera for photographing aquariums....I'm currently using a Fujifilm Finepix E550 which I like, but I need more optical zoom.

I am also open to other non-SLR cameras.....anybody have any suggestions as to what the best one to buy for reef photography would be? I'd like to spend less than $400 if possible :)

I'd take a look at dpreview's buying guide. If your main concern is zoom that will help narrow down your choices. Canon's S5IS is a good one to look at, I'm not sure what Nikon's comparable model is but I'd try to find that one too and then compare features, price, etc. Try to look at some samples from each camera and then try to go to a camera store and play with each camera before you buy.
