Hello all!
I am having trouble keeping the outside glass clean. Well its clean but I hate streaks and I cant seem to get them to go away. I have been using Plain water(tap) and a paper towel or rag, and the tank wipes made by Tetra - Stay Clean Aquarium Wipes(they are also safe for the inside but I dont use them on the inside - won them at a raffle). Any ideas on how to keep the outside glass really nice? thanks!

I use RO in a tank-only spray bottle and a lint-free cloth, and it gets the outside nice and clean.

I use clean towels with a little water. I have the magnet (Magfloat) to clean the rest of the streaks.

I use water and paper towel kleenex brand. They are really thick almost like cloth. No streaks and absorbant so cleanup is fast. I have a 2 and 4 year old who love to touch glass. Works for me!

A tablespoon of vinegar in a pint of RO/DI water works great for me. I keep it in a spray bottle.

I use windex, but I spray it on the towel first just to be safe.

automotive glass cleaner sprayed on a cotton cloth in a seperate room.
i cant risk the slightest chance of any airborn particulates.
i have two Starfire tanks, and windex seems to take more work than the auto glass cleaner.
i have used spit and newspaper  but...that was a long time ago. :p

I use the the API aquarium wipes and the buff out the streaks with a dry lint free cloth. I do not like to use glass cleaner around my tank.

Windex with vinegar, sprayed onto a paper towel first not directly on the glass. I have never had any problems doing it that way.

I thought Glass is porous and the cleaner would seep through into the water. Thats why I have never used it. Thanks for all the input! I will try some of these ideas! Thanks!
