There is lots of good info on this forum.... you just need to dig for it.

Check out the galleries of people that post in this forum. I might even have some fuge pics in mine.

Here is a refugium i had a while back. The things i liked best about this one was the DSB and the rock rubble. It was absolutely full of pods. The light is a 175 watt ~4000 K Metal halide. The caulerpa growth was stunning. Very very very low flow on this refugium. I got amazing chaeto growth as well.

I know someone will jump in and say something like, "don't waste your money on high watts to light your refugium".

True, you don't need to use much light. Many people have "success" with as little as 20 watts.

The light on this refugium before was 2x20watt NO fluorescents. One was a 6500K bulb, the other was a "grow" bulb which had a redish hue to it. The photo doesnt represent the color very well. It was much more white in person.
Here's what it looked like. Growth absolutely sucked with these bulbs, BTW. The purple mushrooms did much better under these bulbs, however.

There was a very small pump that took water from the sump. Gravity overflow back to the sump.
