Got this watermelon frag around the end of Sept. Notice the frag on the disc. This is not a frag plug but is the larger frag disk that are sold.

You can see at first there was only really one good defined eye. Now there is 4 with looks like a 5th starting.

As always I'm amazed with your photos :) Not exactly lightning-quick growers though lol... I'm getting about the same with mine.

Thanks Dave and Brent! Yea it grows slow but I am happy that it's LIVING! LOL! I will have my CA Reactor going next week so maybe it will do better.

Very nice...always wanted one...maybe next year...so what are their requirements to keep them thriving and healthy?

I had a hard time at first, but I think it may have had something to do with controlling my magnesium. They don't require alot of light. I have mine under 150 20k mh.

Well when I first got it my lighting was a single 250w HQI pendant. Now it is in a bigger tank and under (2) 250w SE MH's and 220w of VHO.
In both tanks it has been in the sand very front corner. I have since moved it to the sand in the middle and its doing great.
