I'm looking to upgrade my protien skimmer in a few months, and i'm starting my research now. With so many optoins out there, i don't want to waste my money and buy a bogas one. One of my issues is, i don't have a lot of play room in my sump. I currently have a hang on the back. I don't think it's powerful enough for what i want to do to my tank. I have a 120gl tank, that i want to make a full reef tank in the future.

This is the one i was looking at from fosters&Smith Turboflotor 1000 Multi. Reason being is because it can be used as a hang on or in the sump. For me to place it in my sump, i would have to add a baffle, to do that. I would have to drain my sump.

You should look into a recirc NW skimmer. You wouldn't have to add baffles to your sump.

I use a DAS recirc skimmer on my tank.

if your stand is tall enough, h&s, h&s, h&s!!! Deltec makes some very nice compact-sized skimmers (rectangle shaped) both very expensive. about the same price
