Looking for peope with a 75 gallon and Koralia's.

I am about to upgrade to a pair of Koralia's and I am wondering if you guys are using the 3's or 4's. If you are happy with the ones you have or think you should have went bigger or smaller!

I was initially going to go with the 3's but now not so sure.

If I go with the 3's I would have about 2000gph of flow for a turnover of 27x.

If I go with the 4's that would give me about 2700gph for a turnover of 36x.

Either way will be a huge upgrade from what I have now for flow. Only about 700ghp.

Currently I have two leathers, bunch of asst. mushrooms and a Sebae anenome. I plan on having a couple of LPS and some SPS in the future.

Thanks for your help,
Steve

I have a K3 and K4 in my 50G frag tank. For SPS I think it's barely enough. Go with 2 4's at minimum. Maybe a 2 to get behind the rocks.

i just ordered a pair of K3s for my 30g. id go with the K4s, and for SPS id shoot for at least 40x...if not 50x.

I have two threes and a mag 9.5 for a 90, and love it.

I have about 30X turnover in my 75AGA. I have a #2 and a #3 and also about 400gph from my sump. I think it is plenty of flow so far. My sandbed blows around from time to time, not too bad though....

i had 3's in my 75 then took them out, just not enough flow being pushed. I switched to a rio 2100 and two other rotating head pumps and my flow is awesome now

There is a thread in the DIY section where a guy put a larger propeller on the koralia impeller and nearly doubled the flow rate. If that heps with flow issues

I have 2 #3's in my 60 cube, basically no dead spots. I could not keep LPS on the rock if I wanted to, too much flow for polyp extension.

I had a single #4 in my old tank...

However I do plan on switching to tunze 6055's later, these are just temp until then.

i have a 75g with K3 and yes a K1(dump what was i thinking great for a nano no bigger the 20g.) so in the mean time i have been using a MJ1200 which i plan to order the sureflow kit later tonight for it or another K3 can't make up my mind. The K4 looks too big.
