10 GPD is absurd. The same money will get you 75-100GPD.

You could try some of the other vendors. I got an RO/DI system and think the DI phase is worthwhile. There are cheaper suppliers, though.

At least get the 25 gpd barebones. But remember that a barebones may not come with everything you need to completely set it up.

You can do much better for about the same money. Lots of the Reef Central Sponsors sell true reef quality systems including DI for the same price. These are full sized units with standard replacements and will last much longer than that one as well as make true reef water and not just RO.
Look at a 75 GPD system, its the same physical size and does not cost any more but will make water a zillion times faster. A 10 GPD unit will probably only make 6-8 gallons in a full 24 hour period in most cases unless you happen to have tremendous water pressure an warm temperatures.
A good place to start is www.buckeyefieldsupply.com . They have a Premium RO/DI that includes a 75 GPD RO membrane, full sized refillable DI, good quality prefilter and carbon block, an inline pressure gauge, hand held TDS meter, flush valve and adjustable flow restrictor for $161 total.
Also look at www.thefilterguys.biz , www.melevsreef.com , www.airwaterice.com , www.spectrapure.com and www.purelyh2o.com . All sell great 75 GPD units at about that same price.

I have a 28g tank and use the 2nd unit listed here
http://thefilterguys.biz/ro_di_systems.htm

IMO your crazy to buy that kent piece of junk. For 135 with the filter guys you can have a good ro-di unit.

Oh and also, DI removes silicates and phosphates which causes algae, so get the DI, it is worth it!

If you could pick another $50 from the money tree ;) you could pick up the 100GPD 5 stage unit from Melevs site. I haven't personally used it, but have heard of good experiences from others. FWIW, I would buy it if I had to make the purchase again.
