One of my 6201 Tunze streams has a short somewhere. It zapped me. Took me about 20 minutes of zapping myself before I narrowed it down to the 6201. Definetly the Tunze, unplug it no zap when I touch the water. plug it in then I get zapped.

Got it from Marine Depot about 3-4 months ago. Should I contact them or send it directly to Tunze?

Happy new year!

I would post that question in the Tunze Forum: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=92

Sorry, you already did :). I didn't realize that. They should be able to help.

I also don't know why I got zapped without breaking the GFCI. All three dedicated 20 amp circuits in my fish room are GFCI at the plug, thought that would protect me from something like that.

This is odd, it runs on only 24V so only low voltage is going into the tank. Can you PM me your info and we will send a return label- I need your email address and shipping address and full name.

I thought it was weird too. Took me a while to isolate it to the stream. My wife jokes that I've been a little "jumpy" after shocking myself for 30 minutes trouble shooting :)
