Will this work or would it be better to have it different any ideas would be good and appreciated

Ok the sump will be a 55 gallon aquarium which measures 48" long 12" wide 20" high

The water from the overflow will go straight into a bioball chamber
then the water will go into a fuge then through microbubble trap
After the trap there will be a place to run active carbon then the water will hit the return pump.

The overflow is a HOB that is rated 1200gph
The pump is a mag-18 which after a 4 ft head loss will be running around 1300gph.
I will have an additional 600gph overflow on hand if needed.

So any comments or ways to make this better will be appreciated

BTW, a compartment will be left open before the bioballs for a skimmer when i am able to afford one.
When i get a skimmer i will remove the bioballs and add this compartment to the fuge that will have like 2lbs live rock some sand and a ton of chaeto.
However if i find out that it will be better to leave the bioballs i will.

I will not be getting a skimmer for like 5-6 months so i need to know if this will work or if their is a better way to do this.

Later on (like 9-11 months) i might start corals in this tank so i want to plan for the future as much as possible.

Also could i use a 29g tank instead of a 55 or is it better to have the 55g
