This might be a stupid question, but I just got a Current-USA Outer Orbit HQI fixture, model 1042, and can't see how to turn on the LEDs. There are two cords and two switches, witch operate the MH and flourescents, but I never get power to the LEDs.

Is there someone with this or a similar model that can tell me what I am missing here?

Thanks for any help. I am setting up my first marine tank after 10+ years of freshwater, and so far the information on the forum has been great.

Happy NewYearand welcome to RC, I use a Current Sunpod and the LED are powered by a seperate plug, looks like a cell phone wall plug adapter that fits into the back of the fixture. The instructions should have a diagram.

You have to run the LED's on a timer to turn them on and off.

There should be 4 plugs. 1 for mhs, 1 for t5s, 1 for the fans, 1 for the leds

I run my leds all the time, they should last longer than the fixture.

ah-hah! I see where it plugs in now. I am missing the a/c adapter so I guess I have a call to make to the dealer.
Thanks!
