do you plan to hang it our mount it in the canopy...?
it would look cheesy hanging this fixture....

but if your mounting it inside a canopy....then you should just get some waterproof endcaps and use your reflectors

The indivisual reflectors are the reason why you buy t5. not the single you may as well go with compact florescences.

i would mount it in canopy. i know individule reflectors are one of the main reasons for t-5s which is why i would mount my own reflectors on each bulb. basically would this be a good ligh fixture if it had individule reflectors?

You're better off buying individual reflectors if you're going to use T-5's. You will get a lot more light output.

Even if you use your own reflectors just be aware that the endcaps aren't waterproof and we have no idea the quality of the bulbs or ballast. The fixture itself is just a metal box intended for hanging over plants. Not sure how well it would hold up over time inside a canopy over salt water but I'd guess not too well. Would it work? Yes, but for around $50 more you could probably build your own retro kit with good parts and be much happier.
