filter sock fabric

What kind of fabric are filter socks made of? I need to make my own to fit it where I need them to. Thanks

I just used some felt from walmart and it works just as good as a filter sock.

There are lots of materials you can use. Felt, Cotton etc. It really depends on how fine of a filter you want.
