I just switched up to a 16 bowfront from my 5.5g so I can get some more corals and so my baby clowns can have the tank they need.
Here is the thread for my 5.5g
http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1272500

This tank has 2 T-5 fixtures that I bought from a friend who had them on his 16g bf. I believe they are Current Nova Extreme 2x20watt HO.

I'm really excited about this tank. Those lights should be sufficient to keep just about anything, right? This is my first time trying anything but PCs. Im loving the T-5s.

Right now there is just a HOB filter and an in tank filter that will be going on the 5.5g when I set it back up in my dad's office. I will add a powerhead this weekend, not sure what it will be yet.

It currently has probably 13-15lbs of LR. I'm going to probably add about 10 lbs more, but my LFS is expanding and the LR selection is very limited right now. It has about 13lbs of LS in it.

Right now it has 2 baby clowns in it and I want to add a green clown goby. I also have a sexy shrimp and I'm planning on getting some more.

I want to have a nice variety of coral. Right now I have zoas, mushrooms, and LPS with a few frags of SPS that I'm going to try out. Im planning on doing mostly LPS and cool zoas and shrooms. I love brains, so I'm leaving a large portion of the sand bed open and the bow front allows for this.

So here are the pictures from tonight.

Love bowfronts of any size. What are those GSPs or hairy shrooms mounted on?

Looks nice! I really like the scaping. Are you saying you have 2 fixtures, each with 2 20W bulbs for a total of 80W? What kind of bulbs?

Thanks! The GSP is growing on an in tank filter, but that is leaving me today. :( I'll get some more to grow on the back wall along with some xenia.

Yes, I have 2 fixtures and I believe each has 2 20 watt T-5 bulbs in them. Thats the best that I could ID them on the web. I guess I could always go the easy route and ask the guy I bought them from what they are.

I reckon you'll be able to grow all but the most light demanding corals with that lighting.

I added a few new corals. There is a green leather in the center now, some xenia, new zoas, and a new green and red favia.

Tank looks great. My only real suggestion would be a background to cover up the wires :D

I've done a little it more to the tank. I added a green clown goby and a few more corals. I still need more LR, but of course the LFS gets rock and it smells gross. I bet by the time its cured it will be gone. I added a powerhead. Barney, if you read this I don't know what it is!
