Last night around 9 pm, my refugium lights went off when they were supposed to still be on. I started checking the electrical and found that nothing plugged into the DC8 works.
The wall outlet that the DC8 is plugged into works.
I tested each device that is plugged into the DC8 in a wall outlet and everything works.
The AC3 display shows lights/fans/CO2 on or off correctly.
The timer program is correct.
Manual Control shows Auto for the devices not working. Changing the manual control to On does not turn on the device.
The green LED on the DC8 is not on.
HELP.

Looks like you blew the fuse.

Can I change the fuse myself?

Can I change the fuse myself? You can change the fuse yourself, but they can be a little difficult to find locally.

How old is your DC8? If it's one of the newer ones, they have a breaker instead of a fuse.

Here is the link to the Neptune site with the fuses. https://estore.neptunesys.com/neptune/store/agora.cgi?cart_id=734558.3984*766bn1&next=6&product=Control_Hardware

For everyone else reading this thread that doesn't have a spare fuse for their Direct Connect module(s), go order the now...

Mine is about 5 months old. Has the push button fuse/breaker on the front. It's not popped out. I tried to push it.

Have you double checked the cord connecting to the controller? Are there any flashing lights on the DC8?

No lights on the DC8. The led is off. I'll try changing the cord to the controller with the one on my DC4HD and see what happens.

Both control cables will control the DC4HD.
Neither cable makes a difference on the DC8 when connected directly or through the DC4HD.
The DC4HD works when connected directly, but not when connected through the DC8.

If you have the Version 1.1 DC8 then it's a thermo fuse. Not sure if it can be replaces or not.

I have the 1.1 DC8 and it will always reset itself after it cools down. The older versions have a replaceable fuse that will have to be replaced.

If you have the thermo fuse then Curt will have to help you on this one.

Got it back and reconnected. All is well. Thanks to boydx6 for the loaner while mine was out.
