I think that's a Eunice worm. Flush it and be glad you caught it.

i wouldnt worry its just another part of your cuc. maybe if you see one thats like a foot plus then id be worried. i would bet their is another one in there, thats why when i play with lr i wear the gloves at the doctores office.

That's a nasty looking critter. Will that actually bite you?

I didn't want to start a new "ID THREAD" so I was just going to toss this picture in here and hopefully someone can ID for me. I've had a recent population explosion of these critters. They really hate the lights, swim and are very fast. Just kind of wondering what they are. THanks bros.

That's not the kind that is usually just part of the cleanup crew. As they get larger, their diet expands, and may include some things you don't want eaten. I wouldn't say it's terribly likely that you have more of them in your tank, since they don't really multiply like the bristleworms. I'd either give it its own tank, or send it to oldreefer.

Actually, that isn't a copepod, rather a gammarus. Related to the shrimps. As you said, a good thing. Great clean-up crew member that doubles as lunch for many fish.
