any body ever done a diy chiller?

Yep... but no pics yet as Im still testing it.
I made one out of a 5000 BTU Window A/C unit and a Titanium heat exchanger.
You will need a qualified HVAC/R person to help, otherwise the cost of tools alone will exceed the cost of a professionally manufactured unit.

Oh, and just in case you were thinking about it......
... the Mini-Refrigerator idea wont work unless you are wanting to cool a Nano :D

The compressor on a mini-fridge wont last long trying to cool a 210 gallon. The compressors in these units require low-temp refrigerant to cool the motor windings. The refrigerant temp would return way too hot if you put such a heat load on it.
Save your money.

Yup, a canibalized window shaker is about the only way to go.
