Sapphire BC29 Skimmer

Hey all,

I have the Sapphire BC29 Skimmer running in my Bio Cube 29 gallon since March 2007, but for some reason for the last 3 months, it seemed to stop working. I am not getting any foam production. There is very little skimmate, too. I have cleaned it, changed the tubing on it, etc. but nothing seems to work. I haven't changed the food at all, no meds / additives, except Kalkwasser and a bag of PURA complete.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?? Has anyone tried the NEW BioCube skimmer?

I don't have any experience with the Sapphire.

I do however have the the NEW BioCube skimmer.

I don't have much to compare it to, but it seems to work fine. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I had to remove the filter pad to run it as it goes in the first chamber.

I've seen some other posts that some people are using the SR3 skimmer.
