View Full Version : Ever "rub" the color off your zoas?

I took these zoas out today to remove some bubble algae and hydroids, but when I put them back in I noticed they looked like this.

Here they are before (taken about 2 weeks ago, but colors looked like this this morning)

Did I rub the color off? Any idea of what happened? Ever happened to anyone else?

I have had that happen, not sure the reason other then stress of being touched......They(mine)anyway came back to color within a few days....

The big one on the right in the first pic looks like you left a fingerprint on it!! Thats crazy!

This has happened to me before on several occasions with PE type polyps. It happened when I used a turkey baster to blow some detritus off of them, but they recovered with time.
