While overhauling my 72g (green hair anilhilation) I found this 8" long worm, just wondering what is is and if I should reintroduce it back to the tank.

Also these green things have been growing for a while...what are they?

I have no idea what kind of worm that is but can you say scary! The second pic is a type of macro algae nothing major I have some in my tank a few little bits about that size.

Maybe a eunicid worm. If so, BAD from what I hear. I wouldn't put it back in until you are sure of the ID.

that is an eunicid worm, get it out while you can. they are predators, and not safe for the other life in your tank.

the green thing is a calcium based macro algae called Neomeris sp. it can be quite attractive in the tank. but you will need to keep it pruned so it does not over take the tank.

I had that type of algae in my tank a long time ago. I loved it. It was great looking. But then it just started fading then it was gone
