It's a bit hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like a hydroid. IME there's no easy way to get rid of them....just removal by hand.
I kinda like hydroids, but they do sting corals and can become pests.

Had a re-thunk, maybe brown Feather Dusters...do the tentacles move, or are they stiff?
A close-up pic would really help :)

Thanks lancer99. :) The tentacles move because of water flow over it. They don’t move by themselves. It spreads like a creeper over the rock. Its more like a plant than a feather duster.
Took a while for me to get a decent close up picture.

Sorry but pretty sure a colonial hydroid as already mentioned. May sting coral they come in contact with. I had patches of hydroids in my tank, they spread slowly but I never did find a control.
