Looking at treating my zoa's with Furan-2 due to a case of zoa pox, but is Furan-2 safe to fish inverts?

No... its not. You use it as a dip not to treat a tank. Mix it in a bowel or bucket and dip the colonies or frags in it. Do not put it into your tank water.

thats what i suspected. Just need to source some now as its banned/prescription only in the uk.

Maybe a vet could help you out if you explain or print up one of the threads?? They could write the Rx for you and you could get it filled. good luck

I actually spoke to a vet & although he knew of the ingrediants within furan2, he didnt know furan2 and maybe because thats a brand name. He offered to find out for me, but told him to not bother as I can source from the states for 2 x 10 power sachets for £30 delivered to the uk. No just waiting for them to arrive. Hope they hurry up!
