Syphoning my Little Giant

Hey guys i just got my little giant in and set everthing up now my problem is syphoning it, anybody have a method? the only thing i can do is syphon turn on the pump then try to connect. But as you can immagine it gets messy. Also what did you guys use between flex pvc and regular pvc?
