The retailers say that it will only work on incandescent bulbs, I was wondering if that 100% true, or if you can use them on 250 halides, t5s with ice cap 660?

Thanks

I'm not sure what the x10 lamp module is but I use an X10 relay switch such as this one to control a regular wall receptacle: http://www.smarthome.com/2476sal.html.

The relay switches are quiet and can be manually operated. I've used them to control my 2x150w HQI and 54w T5HO lamps.

The only disadvantage is that X10 commands should be issued only one at a time or they may interfere with each other. For example, if you want both your MH and T5HO lamps ON, program your X10 controller to turn each circuit ON a minute apart.

Do NOT use lamp modules on your halides.

The lamp module is a two wire you need to have that puppy grounded

In addition to what RONCGIZMO said, you cant use the dimmer function on the lamp on PC, MH, or flouresents... I have used X10's for other purposes for years. Last house I had was X10 contolled from front to back... Until recently I never thought of usuing them here....

x10 makes both a lamp module with 2 prongs and a heavy duty appliance module that has three prongs. The heavy duty x10 works with halides. At least with some, as it works with my de250's.
