Cleaning the air injector on a 9002 skimmer

My 9002 stopped skimming, I took it apart and the clear plastic elbow on the air injector was plugged with salt so I cleaned it out.

Rather than take the skimmer apart to clean the injector every few months I'd rather flush RO water through the air intake line every time I empty the skimmer cup. I can't figure out an easy and simple way to do this though, on my other skimmer the air intake line is a long flexible silicone line that you just dunk in a cup of warm RO water to dissolve any salt deposits in the air intake.

Any ideas on how to do this?

If you take the cup off you will see the hole where the air is taken in. You could use a syringe to inject warm water into this hole.
