Is the six-line wrasse considerd a jumper?
I do not have a covered tank. Do you think this fish
might jump out of my tank?

Yes, it might jump out, so try and have the top covered if you do get one.

My tank is not covered and its has never jumpped. I see them at the LFS all the time in the tanks that are not covered. I think anyfish could under the right conditions jump but I wouldnt consider the sixline a jumper

You would be safer just to consider that all fish are jumpers and get a top on the tank. I have fished mine out of the overflow and the only way in was for it to jump.

i have egg crate over the top of my tank to help control jumping. Some fish are known to jump more than others, but all are possible candidates to go airborn.

Mine has jumped out twice, both times after the halides went out. Luckily, I heard the splash both times and saved him.

I have lost both a 6-line and an esquisid (sp?) wrasse by them jumping out of my old tank...

6-line didn't jump out for about a year, lost the esquisid after just a few weeks.

Our sixline jumped last week! I've also had a firefish jump out the feeding lid on a biocube 14.

I've had my 6 for almost three years and he hasn't jumped yet. Your experience may differ though.

I had one for several months in my old 30g. It was topless, and I guess I was lucky. He was a real mean sob though, thats for sure.

Mine was in the tank over 6 months. I have a canopy over it but the back of it is open. I found him behind the tank one day after work.
