wiring lights in hood

If I am to wire lights in a hood, how would you go about hooking up the ground from the power cord. Would you hook it directly to the ballast itself?

The ballast should have a ground attachment or terminal.
What ballast are you running?

I had a coulpe more Sylvania 2x32WT8 ballasts, and I was gonna use 1 to overdrive 1 more 48" T8, but I wont have anymore room in my hood after I get my T5's in there. My expierience is limited to overdriving lights in existing fixtures(ie shoplights etc), and ground power to fixture. So I guess I'm stuck with 4x54 T5's and 2 ODNO 32W T8's. Thanks anyway.
