Well I purchased a very beautiful Blue Headed Wrasse today. After acclimating him to the tank he was doing fine (for about 3 hours). After the 3 hours my Niger Trigger and Tomato clowns decided they did not like him hanging around the neighborhood and commenced chasing him. I re-fed the tank hoping that they would rather eat then chase the new guy. Well they decided to do both and commenced to herding him right into my large green carpet. I reached in and fought the carpet for my new pet.

Long story short, I was able to get the wrasse out of the grasp of the carpet but damage had already been done. I put the wrasse in my frag tank hoping that he will be able to recover from his fight with the carpet.

He has been in the frag tank for an hour now and is still hanging on. I hope that he is able to recover because he is a magnificent blue color and really looked good under the actinic lights

Carpet anemones are wrasse eaters.
