I am trying to adjust the voltage range for one of the 1-10v interfaces. I want to set it to 1v min and 4.7 volt max. Should I be able to do this? I enter 4.7 for the max but it keeps getting reset to 6v. I can put in 6.1, 6.2 so it seems to take the decimal, just not for anything below 6v.

6V is the lower limit for the upper voltage->its not possible

May I ask for what purpose you need this seeting?

I am using the t5 54 watt dimming ballast with a smaller bulb. I don't have room in my pentagon tank hood for anything longer than 24 inches. The bulbs I am using work fine up to about 4.7 volts before I start overdriving. Since I can't set the max voltage below 6v, I just set the max % illumination to something less than 100%. Works fine. :)

You drive a 24W tube with a 54W ballast??? I never heard something like that before!

And this works? You don't damage the tube or ballast?
Which ballast exactly do you use?

So far no problems. Burn in helps a great deal. I am also using the URI 24" 24/40 watt tubes. Not sure that makes much of a difference. There has been no overheating, or burnouts, I'll let you know if I fry anything. They will even start from 0% and slowly light to the max% that I have set. I am using the proline 54 what dual tube ballasts. 120v. I would NOT recco this to anyone who does not have experience with electric and electronic devices. And proper grounding is important!!

If this would work without issues for 24W and 39W we would immediately have a solution for our ballast-problem!
But as you wrote: We can't recommend to do so - its your own risk!
