Is this healthy?

My refugium has been running for about two years now and I have never had to cull the chaeto. Recently I have noticed what I would discribe as moss or hair algae growing among and on top of the chaeto, is this bad? There are also white specs attached to the chaeto. Do I have too many nutriants, is this not typical of a healthy refugium? any suggestions are welcome. I do have miricale mud on the bottom.

Your chaeto should be clean and free floating so it can be fully exposed to your water. Having "moss" growing on top of your chaeto is not a good thing. I would take the "moss" out and even take a good portion of the existing chaeto out to allow for new growth and further nutrient exportation. Hope this helps.
