I want to thank you for the speedy order. I got my supplies today and I am super pleased with the time it took with processing and shipping.

One question for you.....

My tap water is somewhat clean to start with. TDS out of the tap is around 70. We have water from our local water reservoir so its not true river water as most cities see. Any rate, I swapped out my sediment filter and replaced both carbon filters with fresh carbon. I never touched my DI resin yet as I don't think its shot yet.

My water coming out of my membrane is 0....Is this possible? Possibly due to the low TDS in the tap to begin with could do this? Obviously out of the DI its zero also?

Am I lucky or could the meter not be working correctly. I did make the mistake of cutting the wrong end of the output of the membrane before I replaced the filters and installed the IN on the meter and I was reading 100 tds on the output of the membrane. Again this was before I swapped the old filters for new. I didn't however test the wastewater from the membrane after I replaced the filters. I then put new hosing on the wastewater line and placed the IN on the meter on the correct line on the good water out of the membrane.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Hi Spakkey.

I can't say I understand what you meant in this paragraph:

Nonetheless, Is it possible to get 0 ppm out of the RO?" If your tap water reads 70 ppm, and you have a 98% rejection membrane you would get about 1.4 from your RO. Those inline tds meters are not terribly precise, and it may be reading that as something between 0 and 1 (rounded to 0). Needless to say, your resin ought to last a good long time.

Thanks for the reply and I figured that was the case. Due to the low TDS of the tap water I figured to get a very close to zero TDS out of the membrane.

Didn't mean to confuse you on the first paragraph as I think I actually confused myself! LOL.

Any rate, thank you and you now have a returning customer who will recommend other people as well!
