I bought bleached mushrooms

I recently bought some nice live rock. The seller told me that it had alot of bleached mushrooms on it, but that they hadn't had appropriate light for awhile and that is why they are bleached.

Since I've had them they open nicely during the day and close at night and are seemingly doing well. I have only had them for several weeks thus have not noticed any color change.

Now that I have them under t-5's should I expect to see any color return? If not will they still be ok or will they slowly die.

Give it some time, they may or may not come back. If you are adding LR you may have a cycle to the tank that will not help them. Keep your water parametes up and give it some time.

i got a bleached mushroom once and the color came back in time and now its 5

jus wait it out... within a couple of months their colors will come back... so no worries...

I just noticed the other day that some are starting to get a little color to them!!

I got a small shroom one time that was a very very light yellow, almost translucent, color that I really liked and didn't have. About a month or so later I realized I couldn't find it. It was now a darkish pink with a blue center. You just can't always figure these guys out. I think my husband is secretly changing things around in the tank just to make me think I'm crazy. :)
