Well after a very long wait since the storm wrath of '04 here in Fla that almost wiped out my tank, I had a 28 gal angle view set up with mostly softs and a rbta, with a pair of percs. I finally got my new dream tank set up. Its a 54 corner with a custom hood. I had it stained all in black. I painted the back black and used some black live sand.

The hood opens from the front and makes easy access to get in to work on the set up.

I used the old lsb and rock but added 80lbs more ls and around 28 lbs more of rock. The old tank had around 40lbs of rock. I would say it was very dense. I went over a yr 1/2 with out a water change and my tests would be great.
So now after a week my tests are ph 8.4, sal .025, nitrite .005, nitrate 0, and cal was 450. My test for alk only has low norm or high and it was norm.
I'm useing a retro fit for my light in the hood with a 175 MH 20K and 2 vho 75 Watt actinics.

So far I really like it. Can't wait to start putting more stuff in. The clown thats in there is a true perc and I have had him for over 7 yrs. That was longer then my wife lasted.....LOL
I have some frogg spawn that I even had a cpl heads break off and I was able to save them and put them on some small rocks I had.
