Does anyone know if one will change to a male if two female lineatus are in the same tank? If so, how often does this happen? I have a pair of female in QT. I bought two female because I want to witness the change. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Damn I would like another female but it seems like no one ever carries them.

They will change, but it will take awhile. One of females has to establish dominance.

They also have to be a functional female before they will change to a male. If you have 2 tiny females, one will not start diverging to a male immediately.

I have had one go from submale to full male and yes, it was fabulous.

Thanks, one is definitely more agressive than the other. If I see a change that would be the one I will bet on. Great wrasses but shy. I have a pair of Rhomboids, too, but I think the lineatus takes the prize for looks.
