I'd like to keep a clam in my 12 gallon JBJ nanocube. It's an all SPS system, with a 150w HQI fixture. I have also drilled it and added a 15 gal sump with a DSB, extra rock, skimmer phosban reactors, cheato, etc. I'd like to keep either a crocea or maxima, but I'm currently running an XM 20k bulb. Clams would be roughly 12" below the surface, or about 18" from the bulb itself. Does this sound OK, or would I need to switch to a 14k or even 10k bulb?

sounds good, as long as you have sps quality conditions
