Pump Replacement

Ok, I have followed the advice of many and purchased a MaxiJet 900 to replace the 166 gph stock pump in my new 12G nanocube. Is it as simple as attaching to the current tubing? The stock pump seems SECURLY attached to the tubing. It feels like if I remove it, I will break it. Is it sealed or just a tight fit?Do I need the extra stuff that came with the new pump? Please advise.

The tube connecting the pump now will slide off. For the maxijet, you dont have to add any of the parts to it that came with it. Just slip on the tubing and go.
