Ever heard of tank builder "D. Estrada"?

I'm looking at this tank, and at the front under the glass are two little tags.

One reads, "Tempered Glass - Do not Drill."

The other reads, "Made in the USA by D. Estrada."


So two questions.

1. Why is Tempered glass good? My understanding is that tanks that are tempered, like car windshields, may crack but won't break. Is this it, or is there more to it?


2. Has anyone ever heard of tanks by D. Estrada? Are they known for quality (good or bad)? Anything that is good to know about this?

Couldn't be any worse then if it read "E" Estrada :lol: :uzi: .........Sorry couldn't resist, never heard of him but I do know that tempering the glass is safer because if it does break it wont be 4 panes of glass shooting at you at a 1000 miles per hour instead of a billion pebles, also tempered glass is much stonger thats why most tanks are tempered on the bottom to hold all that weight.

I think the tag is kinda like the ones you get with underwear. Quality checked by tag. I think Oceanic uses those and I think a few others used to like O'dell and Island.
