Hey....how do you guys clean your equipments? I heard about using vinegar solution, but I'm not sure. If vinegar will do the job, how do I make them?

If you mean like powerheads? Yes I but them in a bucket of 50% vinegar 50% water. Depending on how dirty they were, can take an hour, or sometimes I will even soak them overnight. I have found that if I scrub them with an old toothbrush before and and once during the soaking it goes a lot faster.

Distilled white vinegar mixed with water does a great job. I use it to clean powerheads, pumps, and even the front of my tank if the salt residue gets too thick to remove with just water. I also used it to clean an old skimmer that I sold.

cardiffgiant good point, forgot about the skimmer. Once in a while I will take my skimmer off line and run it in a bucket of water/vinegar until it is all shinny and clean.
