I talked with you today for a short time about my skimmer cup seal leaking (thanks for calling me on a Saturday! great customer service!!!). I can't find anyone locally who sells what I need, so I'm going to have to order it online. I've got it narrowed down to the following four:

Weld-On #10 2 part glue
Weld-On #16 Plexiglas Glue
Weld-On #40 2 part Plexiglas Acrylic glue
Weld-On #1802 Multi-plastic Glue

Which one do I need to get that would work the best, or is there something else I should use. The pvc and acrylic are still bonded together, I just have the leak, so I won't/can't take them apart. Please let me know which would work the best for my application so I can get this thing hooked up.

Thanks for all the help Scott, and I may go ahead and just get an extra skimmer cup just to be safe as a back up. It seems I can never be to careful with my tank. You can post or PM me on what I would need to do as far as ordering a replacement, or if I should go directly through Proline.

Thanks again for being so awesome!!!

Thank you! You would need to contact us directly to order an additional collection cup. Proline does not sell retail. Glad we could help. To answer your question, probably the last one on your list. You don't want to use acrylic glue. It is specially formulated only to make acrylic to acrylic bonds.

FYI everyone...He ordered this used from an individual.

I did get this from someone from here on RC, and Scott has been awesome helping me out. I know no other retailer that would help out a fellow reef, that's why AS is a great company. Thanks again Scott!

I had a similar issue with the cup on my BK mini160 leaking. The entire cup cyclinder actually came off the white PVC base.

I ran a fine bead of superglue around the lip of the PVC base. . .worked like a charm.

HTH. . .

:D
