cleaning filter sock?

what do you think about putting a sock in the washer with a touch of bleach. rinse twice, dry in dryer.

that how i do it. i just set the washer on small and add 1/4 or 1/2 a cup of bleach and rinse a few times but i just let them air dry because im worried about residue from fabric softener in the drier
