I saw the thread on the DIY HOB skimmer, but I do have a few questions.

1. What is the minimum size skimmer that you can get away with for a 10 gal. tank? My tank measures 20x10.5x12, so I really can't go above 12" in height or more than 20" in length. I would prefer to keep the dimensions near 10x10, but don't know if that's too small.

2. Has anyone ever made a very tiny skimmer or is there another type of skimmer that would work on a 10gal?

CPR, Remora, etc are all way too big for this tank..size has to remain small.

Thanks,
Dave

Pm hahnmeister he made a nice nano skimmer that he posted over at nanoreef.com under the name undertaker. I think the thread was wetworks?

you can make the skimmer taller than 10x10. I realize that it would hit the stand, but you could just make it taller and pipe up to it vs having it drop down below the tank bottom... just a thought.
