I dose kalkwasser as make up water everyday. That is about two litres every day... Is there anything wrong in that. What are the effects of excessive calcium levels. Are they bad? What should I do?

How high is the calcium and alkalinity?

last time I checked alk was 11 and calc was 400... Which is what I try to keep it at. But please tell me about going higher. Will continuous dosing of kalk be bad?

Those levels are fine. I'd just watch the alkalinity and pH, and let them guide the kalk dosing. Lots of people use kalk long-term (including me) with success.

You will not get elevated calcium from dosing limewater (kalkwasser). if you dosed too much, you'll seer the ph too high long before anything else. I would base the amount of limewater added on the pH and the alkalinity. Don't let the pH get above 8.5 or so, and then dose an amount that maintain alkalinity where you want it.
