Grass on sand?????

I am sure it is not really grass, just a hair algae problem.....it is only occurring in the back right corner of my tank, should I just mix up the sand, and try to find a way to get some more current on there to take care of the problem?

Moving forward, would it be an intelligent idea to add a dozen nassarius snails to keep the substrate mixed up and non toxic?

You're probably seeing a bit of hair algae, as you state. I'd just remove it, if it's easy to get. If the tank is new, such blooms are common.

Nassarius snails eat leftover food, and there shouldn't be enough of that to keep a dozen alive in that size tank. 3-4 might be fine, though.
