Get a purple reef lobster. They stay relatively small (around 4") and are great scavengers. I've had one in my 125 for the last two years.

Scarlet hermits (red ones w/ yellow eyestalks) have very tiny claws, are pretty peaceful toward snails, do help with cleaning, and never bother fish.
Besides my little porites crab, the scarlets are the only ones I put in my main display just because I dont want to replace snails.

the standard list of reef type snails...
Astraea, Trochus, Cerith, Nassarius, Turbo, Nerite.
There are lots more....
Aquarium Snails (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/scateg.cfm?pCatId=526)

...and one that doesnt get sold much, my fav- the stomatella.

Stay away from Margarita and 'bumblebee' snails. The 1st one wont live long in reef tank temps, and the bumblebees eat good stuff in the sandbed.

I have about 5 Astraea, 1-2 Cerith, and 2 Turbo snails in a barebottom system of about 150 gallons. I also have a few (6 or so) scarlet hermits and 3 brittle stars (LR hitchers) and who knows how many stomatellas.

If you're going to have some sand for them, eventually a fighting conch or two are good as well. I have 2 in my 120g.
