I have read Steven Pro`s very good articles on Marine Ich Part 1 and part 11 but notice that they are a couple of years old! Is there a more recent article or treatment out there or is Stevens advice still current? I am particularly interested in using Formalin to treat marine ich and wondered if there was any updates.
Cheers,
RF

I'd say it is still very relevant information. That being said, Formalin is not a very good treatment for Marine Ich.

Proven Methods:

1. Hyposalinity
2. Copper
3. Transfer Method

I would not use formalin just for marine ich...it's rather potent.
Before you use anything, may I ask what kind of fish you are treating?

Thanks for your response.
Powder brown, Acanthurus glaucopareius undergoing hypo-salinity at the moment, but not sure if it is going to be enough!

If that doesn't help, I would try copper before messing with Formalin (lesser of the 2 evils).
