I have a small green cany cane, with 4 tops. I spot fed it on tuesday (mysis/brine) and it looked a lil fatter and healthier the next day. so i did it again wed, then again thurs. it was only a little bit, but it seems to really like it. I wasn't going to thurs, but they all had little fingers out like "feed me!"

so should I feed it less?

No just notice that all food not taken goes to spoil your tank.
I would feed this particular coral once a week or every other week if it is getting medium light.

No. The more you feed it the faster it'll grow and split. The only drawback is if you are wasting food the extra will raise your nitrate.

yeah i find candy cane just eats whatever it cans before the shrimps get to it. and it the more i feed it, the faster it grows.

Does your candy cane coral extend its polyps during the lights on period?

are the polyps the little finger looking things? those I notice mostly at night. or when I feed the fish, like it smells the food or smthn
